Understanding Lightworkers, Ascension, and the New Earth

In today's post, we're diving into some deeply spiritual concepts: what it means to be a lightworker, the process of ascension, and the idea of the New Earth. These are terms you may have come across, but what do they really mean? Let’s explore together.

What Is a Lightworker?

A lightworker is simply someone who has incarnated on Earth with a specific mission to help raise the vibration and energy of the collective. Every lightworker has a unique purpose, but their ultimate goal is to assist humanity in its spiritual evolution. There are many different types of lightworkers, each fulfilling their role in a distinct way.

Some Types of Lightworkers

  • Lighthouse Lightworkers: These individuals act as beacons of light, simply by existing and radiating high vibrations. Their presence alone is enough to inspire and uplift others.

  • Spiritual Teachers: These lightworkers help others awaken and understand the shifts happening within the energetic field. It's anyone who is on the leading edge of all of the energies. They're the ones that pick up any of the energies that are coming at us. They are able to show you what is going on within an energetic field. They guide people in unlocking their spiritual gifts.

  • Grid Workers: These individuals work with the Earth's energy grids, repairing damage caused by lower vibrational energies such as war, oppression, and suffering. Many grid workers feel called to travel, drawn to specific locations where their healing energy is needed.

  • Divine Blueprint Creators: These lightworkers are here to shift outdated templates in human relationships, helping anchor in new ways of loving and connecting based on unconditional love.

It’s important to remember that you don’t have to fit neatly into just one category. Many lightworkers embody multiple roles throughout their spiritual journey. I have come across many other types of lightworkers such as Guardians, Transmuters, Light Code Holders and many many more. I mention a lot of these types of Lightworkers in my Podcast “The Akashic Recordings

I was speaking with a friend recently, and she shared how deeply drawn she feels to animals, Gaia, and plants, as well as the work of helping the Earth heal. This is a clear sign of a grid worker, which is something we discussed earlier. She expressed that she knows this is her soul’s purpose in this lifetime. This not only confirms that she is a grid worker, but it also shows that she is tapping into her claircognizance, clairvoyance, and other intuitive abilities that guide her in understanding what she needs to do. If she eventually moves on to teaching others about grid work and how it functions, she would then step into the role of a teacher lightworker, embodying that energy as well.

For me, my soul’s purpose revolves around transforming outdated templates of relationships—whether romantic, familial, or platonic. Over time, societal structures have dictated what relationships should look like, but those templates are shifting. My own life experiences have repeatedly shown me the contrast between codependency and unconditional love. Through those experiences, I’ve been able to anchor and embody true unconditional love, not just for myself, but within connections of all kinds for my clients—friendships, family bonds, marriages, and beyond. Lightworkers like me, along with countless others across the world, are actively reshaping these relationship templates to align with a higher, more authentic vibration.

At the start of my spiritual awakening, I was told that I was a Divine Blueprint Creator. This resonated deeply with me, even though I wasn’t entirely sure where that path would lead. That realization came through a coach I was working with during my spiritual awakening, and it resonated with me completely. Once I discovered that my talents were deeply connected to the Akashic Records, I began to see that other aspects of my lightworker path—such as transmutation—were also part of my purpose.

For me, Transmutation involves working with ancestral lines to clear and transform energy that has been carried through generations. That’s just one of the many ways I work within the Akashic Records. Over time, my clairvoyance and psychic abilities became more pronounced, followed by my ability to channel. As you continue developing your own gifts, you may find that you resonate with multiple lightworker traits—perhaps two, three, or even more.

One important thing to remember about being a lightworker is that, although we often describe it as work, a job, or a mission, it doesn’t necessarily have to be tied to your career or source of income. Many people panic, thinking, Do I need to change jobs? Do I need to start doing something different? But that’s not always the case. For example, if you are a lighthouse lightworker, your purpose might simply be to exist in your highest joy and let your energy uplift others.

Your livelihood and your soul’s purpose can be two entirely separate things. Can they overlap? Absolutely. But they don’t have to. What truly matters is that you follow what brings you the most fulfillment and aligns with your authentic self.

Discovering Your Lightworker Path

If you’re curious about your specific lightworker type, your intuition is your best guide. You can meditate, ask your higher self, or connect with your angels and guides for insight. If you choose to research online, pay attention to what resonates deeply within you—that light feeling, a sense of knowing, or even physical signs like chills.

Also, being a lightworker doesn’t necessarily mean your career must align with your spiritual purpose. While some lightworkers do find their soul mission intertwining with their professional lives, others fulfill their purpose simply by being a source of light and love in their daily lives.

What is Ascension?

This brings me to what ascension actually means. When we leave our physical bodies—what we call death here on Earth—our souls naturally ascend to higher energies, dimensions, and planes. Depending on where we are in our journey, we spend different periods of time there. I use the word “time” loosely because, in reality, time doesn’t truly exist.

During this phase, we go through a life review, reflecting on what our souls accomplished in that lifetime. We also consider what we might do in our next incarnation. This is the essence of ascension—moving from one level of consciousness to the next. If we were to put it on a scale, we could imagine Earth as starting at a 1, while the highest divine source energy might be a 35. Our goal is to ascend through these levels while still incarnated, rather than having to die to reach higher states of consciousness. That’s what makes this process so beautiful.

This ongoing ascension is also what people refer to as creating the “New Earth.” Every soul on this planet has the potential to reach higher frequencies of love and light. While some may take many lifetimes to do so, the majority will eventually get there. There may be some souls who choose not to continue evolving, and in those cases, they might remain in a particular dimension or state of existence instead of reincarnating. Some souls even become stuck, reliving certain cycles over and over again.

When we spoke with Angie DeCanales in a podcast episode, she discussed helping souls transition through the gateways. This ties into what happens when the planet collectively ascends. As more people shift into higher frequencies, those who remain in lower energies may stay there, unable to progress. But there’s no need to worry about “falling behind” or needing to ascend faster. It isn’t a race.

I want to be clear about something: if anyone is telling you that you must “get on board” by a specific time or else you’ll be left behind, that’s fear-based messaging. Stop listening to it immediately. Ascension is a continuous process, not something that has a deadline. Spiritual awakening isn’t a destination—it’s an ongoing journey. If we ever reached the “final level,” we would essentially become pure divine source energy in human form. At this moment in time, our physical bodies aren’t capable of holding that level of energy.

Could that change in the future? Absolutely. But it would take significant evolution for our human bodies to adapt to that kind of energy. Right now, it’s like trying to touch the sun—we wouldn’t survive it. Perhaps in a distant future, humanity will be able to embody that much light without burning out. But for now, ascension remains a gradual process.

I want to reassure you that if you’re still working through blocks or healing old wounds, you’re exactly where you need to be. Earth herself is already increasing in light and unconditional love. As this happens, anything that doesn’t align with these energies will begin to fall away. That’s why the world may feel chaotic right now—darker energies are struggling to hold on even as they start to dissolve. The more people awaken, the less room there is for fear.

Think of your own spiritual journey: you’ve faced your shadows, gone through dark nights of the soul, and made space for more love in your life. The planet is going through the same process on a massive scale. Every country, every person, every living being will experience this shift. We are here to learn from each other, and looking back at our Akashic Records can help us understand where we’ve been and where we’re headed.

How to move forward with this information

Everyone’s journey is unique. Ascension is not about comparing yourself to others or feeling superior—it’s about recognizing that we all move at our own pace. Ego can sometimes make us believe we’re more “awake” than others, but part of ascension is facing and integrating that ego. This is where the concept of “ego death” and the dark night of the soul come in. Some people experience this multiple times in a lifetime, while others feel like their entire life has been one long dark night of the soul.

But the key to moving forward isn’t denying or rejecting your shadow—it’s embracing it. Your shadow has served a purpose. It has taught you valuable lessons. Instead of condemning fear, acknowledge it, love it, and choose to move forward in confidence and love instead. That choice is always yours.

Some people are ascending without even realizing it. You don’t have to be fully aware of the process for it to be happening. Awareness simply allows you to accelerate the journey if you choose. And if you have people in your life who seem “asleep” right now, remember that they could wake up at any moment. Your presence alone—your energy, your interactions—can have a profound impact on someone else’s awakening, even if you don’t realize it.

As a lightworker, you may often feel like you’re on autopilot, but that doesn’t mean you’re not making a difference. If you’ve chosen to dive deep into this work, you know that awakening can be challenging. Now imagine someone experiencing that entire transformation in just a few months instead of over years or decades. It can be incredibly overwhelming for them.

So above all, have compassion. Have compassion for those still finding their way, those struggling with their shadows, and those who may not yet realize they’re on this path. If someone’s behavior isn’t in alignment with what you prefer, you can step away—but understand that their process is divinely guided, just as yours is.

Ultimately, ascension is about growth, love, and the expansion of consciousness. It’s not always easy, but as a lightworker, you have the opportunity to lead by example. You are here to help others find their way, whether consciously or simply through your presence.

On a personal note, one of my favorite movies has always been Star Wars. I used to come home from school and watch A New Hope every day for a month because I resonated so deeply with the story. If you really look at it, the entire Star Wars saga follows the hero’s journey—it mirrors the process of awakening.

A friend of mine and I sometimes joke about the midichlorian count as a metaphor for our light quotient and how we ascend. And frankly, I wouldn’t mind being Yoda. Who would you want to be?
